My wife has recently had her knee replaced. That being said I have been here at the house helping her. A friend of hers came by today which gave me the chance to go out and do some detecting. Here it is the month of June and the fields are still not planted here in northwest Ohio.
I found a couple buckles from some horse tack and a couple wheat pennies. I did manage to find one silver coin. No glasses at the time that I found it had no idea what it was and my water bottle was not working to clean it. What a surprise it was when I got home to see 1916 Mercury dime but unfortunately no D mint mark. It had my heart racing for a while. Oh well better luck next time at least I got to get out in the field for a while.

Still Dan she is a beauty. Congrats. Since I've been in the hobby I have dug 3 1917s but yet to dig a 16. Hope you're able to get out a little more. Good luck Mark

Glad to hear her recovery has been progressing well, Dan - I certainly hope that continues! Yep, I just posted a thread in disbelief I’m still in the fields in June...we may well be able to hunt most of those fields for the rest of the year :wow:

Sorry about the missing “D”, but still a wonderful find and a nice hunt!
