8 hours hunting in all today - best ever old coin count, but not the best condition lol.
I think I managed to identify all the old coins I found today.
George II Halfpenny (1729 - 1739) (can't read date)
Draped Bust Large Cent (1796-1807) (can't read date)
Coronet Head Large Cent (1837)
Coronet Head Large Cent (1816-1839) (can't read date)
Civil War Token 1863
Info on the Civil War Token - From 1861 to 1864, as the Civil War raged on the battlefields, another sort of war was fought in the streets and shops of America. It was a battle against the hardship of scarcity of U.S. Mint coins. Citizens fought back by using privately issued tokens, many carrying strong political sentiments. The tokens were made of a variety of metals; copper or brass, nickel or German silver, alloys or Silver.
