8 hours hunting in all today - best ever old coin count, but not the best condition lol.

I think I managed to identify all the old coins I found today.

George II Halfpenny (1729 - 1739) (can't read date)
Draped Bust Large Cent (1796-1807) (can't read date)
Coronet Head Large Cent (1837)
Coronet Head Large Cent (1816-1839) (can't read date)
Civil War Token 1863

Info on the Civil War Token - From 1861 to 1864, as the Civil War raged on the battlefields, another sort of war was fought in the streets and shops of America. It was a battle against the hardship of scarcity of U.S. Mint coins. Citizens fought back by using privately issued tokens, many carrying strong political sentiments. The tokens were made of a variety of metals; copper or brass, nickel or German silver, alloys or Silver.

Dang! There's gotta be some nice old silver in there too!!! Congrats and HH!

Thanks everyone! You should make a trip to NJ or DEL to dig if you can, lots of old farm fields. It's amazing how many people lost coins lol.

Wow,that's cool..Congrats on all the old coppers.I lived in jersey half my life,Piscataway...
I have a question, what size coil is that on your deus, seems bigger than a 11 inch?

Thanks! I use the 13"x11" coil.

Amazing finds and an awesome looking spot. Did you have a bit of precipitation out there? I see a plastic bag over your control box.

I always cover my Deus since it's not water proof. Not so much for water issues, but to keep the mud off it in the farm field. Any recent rains make the field a muddy soup and I'm a mess when I come off, mud everywhere lol.
