That would work for me and the dog , all I have now is one small area in the basement for my metal detecting equipment , and coin collection and collectables ( or as my wife says junk).

I don't technically have a "man cave", but I do have a nice size work bench in a corner of one room of our house where I keep a some of my hobby "stuff" along with my tools and hardware supplies
