Zipper pull?

Was out a couple of days ago getting acquainted with my new mx sport and dug this medallion looking thing. Pretty sure its not a medallion. It says campus across the front, light weight, non magnetic. Tried a little Google searching with no results. Nickel for comparison purposes. Only thing I could think of was possibly a zipper pull, even tried googling Campus zipper pull with no results. Ideas?

Not a zipper pull per se, but a clothing tag generally discarded.

I find plenty of these little medallion things in playgrounds and totlots. Some even come on athletic shoes.
