Copper letter K slide?

Found in a turn of the 20th century oil boom ghost town in TX. Still cannot figure this one out. Did it slide onto a strap?

Any suggestions?

Bolo tie slide? Google "vintage copper bolo tie slides." Saw something close to yours on Etsy.
