Hey all,

Looking for advice and/or suggestions for a digging tool. Looking for something short,30-40". Some of the soil around me is rocky and clay based. My handheld digger just is not good with all the rocks or the items that are 6+ inches deep. Thanks in advance for your input.

I agree with the 31 Sampson. Big enough to get as deep as you need generally in one try. But small enough to leave a good looking repaired plug and will work around rocks decently.

Unless of course you strictly hunt fields and woods, I would step up to something more aggressive

I went with a Predator Tools Piranha. Mainly because it looks like it will come in handy during the zombie uprising as well as MDing.

Man I tell you, it seems like everyone loves the Piranha, however it makes my shoulders hurt just watching people use it.

Hey, I just clicked on that link, and it says 36". Did you get a 36" or 31"? I'm thinking about getting the 31" double serrated too.

Sorry missed this reply.

I ordered from the ebay link - and got the 31". There was another thread on them being out of stock and Jeff/Cellerdweller posted an ebay link to that company's ebay store which had what I ordered, free shipping, so $64 i think for the shovel delivered. Nice shovel :)

THANK YOU for your purchase of Lesche T- Handle 31" Heavy Duty Metal Detector Shovel Double Serrated Blade.

Here's the link -

can't test the ebay link because i'm on my work machine - blocks ebay

I paid tax. totaled $69.66 USD, the ebay listing was for $64.95 USD.

I have only used it once so far, but it's pretty cool. You can tell is solid quality like the lesche. :)
