Above is the link to the new Friendly Metal Detectorist Map. The goal of the map is to make it easier for detectorists to find people near them for hunting buddy/group hunt purposes.

If you'd like your location pinned simply PM me the coordinates, city/town, street address you'd like tagged with your handle here. If you have any additional information you'd like included in your pin let me know and I'll get it on the map ASAP.

If any members here would like to assist in moderating the map let me know and I'll get you added to the list of people that can edit/add people to the map.

Map Moderators:
ZeroSum

If anyone has any questions or concerns please let me know and I'll respond to them as soon as I can:-)

We just had a new google map and it was just starting to fill up what happened to it? This new map every couple months sucks, I'll wait till one is permanent.

The previous map was set to anyone being able to edit it and someone took it upon themselves to post pornographic images all over it and change/move all the pins.

This one all you have to do to get a pin placed is message me where you want it.

It seams there was good reason for a new map, There is always that one person out there that just never grew up.

Default Your map

Isn't their a way that all of the members are listed by dots on the map and placing the curser on that dot gives the member info? I have seen it on an RV'er site that way.

I use a plugin on my site called vB GoogleMap ME which ties into the vBulletin forum software and allows members to set their own pins. You have to be logged in to use it, and members can only edit their own pin. Works pretty well.
