Hello all,
I managed a couple of short visits to the mill field this week. On the whole, the site is very light on finds but the steepness of the incline probably meant that it was mostly grazed rather than ploughed.
I can't complain because the soil has surrendered another hammered coin. This one is a Charles 1st Shilling. The harness boss is one of the best I've found and the Band of Mercy medal is something a little different also. Having just read up about the organisation, being kind to animals and each other is the key philosophy.

Anyway, here are my finds and a photo of what remains of the mill.
Many thanks,
b.
