I found a couple of things in a field I am trying to put a date range on to see if it is worth going back. I have looked and looked and I can't find anything on these two things. The brass piece is 2", hollow with a 1" opening on each end. It has a hole in the side that looks like it has a purpose. The button I found is pretty cruddy, but I can make out the letters ABBOT, but I can't find anything to match it to. The back of the button is really corroded and I can't make out anything on it. It is the size of a dime. Any thoughts?
