Bounty Hunter Vlf Treasure Detector help

Does anyone have a Bounty Hunter VLF Treasure Detector? I have one and sometimes it spazzes out and starts clicking and the meter keeps jumping. Has that ever happen to you? Do you know whats wrong with mine? thanks

I don't own one, but when a MD starts "spazzing out" there are a few common causes that you might consider:

1. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) from wires, etc. in the area

2. Weak batteries

3. Dirt/sand under the coil cover (I did this to Relichound once.)

4. Loose, or damaged, coil wire and/or connections

Hope you get it fixed soon...spring is right around the corner.
