We went out to another local park and found some interesting things.

We seem to be having pretty good luck in my book.

All of them were at 4-6 inches in a 20 foot circle. Two duds. ;)

Got the photographer into the hobby as well. The moment the detector went off she was hooked. :D

Cool finds. My dad has a 30-06 and its the loudest rifle I've ever heard, I call it a cannon. Could you imagine that goin off in your neighborhood. GL&HH

We have Military parades in our town. On Veterans day and July 4th. Sometimes they fire a salute of blanks at the park.

Yeah. I was looking into the park. The military school here does stuff there alot.

They are all blanks. Just two of them didn't go off which is why they are still crimped. All the primers are struck and the duds have powder in them still.

I reload my own ammunition and collect/restore military weapons so this is all my speed.:D

There is a local park next to a National guard armory. I have found blank cases there from their exercises. The 30-06 blank is not crimped and was used in the M1 Garand. (My first rifle in the service.) The crimped cases were blanks used for grenade launchers.

From the blanks i have dealt with, the only thing different was the powder charge to compared a grenade cartridge. the blank has a low charge to compared the grenade round. i have a 1943 springfield m1 and its my favorite. lol.

I found a reward blanks in park one time...I wondered how they ended up there...a couple months later I saw an advertisement that they were having a ww2 reenactment coming up....so I guess they had them there in the past....
