Got back out to the pasture today got my third Indian head can't tell if it's a 81 or 91 and a really cool button

Congrats on a couple of real nice digs. The Indian looks like 1891 to me. I hope somebody can identify the Button as I have not seen one like it before. Trapper

It says Newark nj on back does that narrow it down to a date I'd like to know what year it was made

You might get a date range depending on the button manufacturer.

Certain suppliers likely had the government contract in certain years.
