Has anyone started their own club and made it work? We started a small club a year ago, have monthly informal get-togethers. Started with 5 guys, grew to 9, back to 6 but looking for ideas to help it prosper.

Actually me and 2 other persons set up the first detecting club in Finland. It'll be nationwide and it's charter is approved by the bureucrats. So in the future it can be an umbrella organization for any local clubs and what is important that if the government plans to set up any laws concerning metal detecting they _have_ to ask our opinion on the matter.
