Ctx 3030 vs. Racer 2

I have some sites I hunt,,only a novice would reach for a CTX and stock coil.
Or even an Etrac.

Have you done any inland hunting at the nastier old home sites???

Btw,, one thing I dislike about Minelab etrac and CTX,, they don't paint as good a picture for a user when it comes to iron and nail qty on a site,,Deus, Racer does a much better job here.

I don't have to test any machines. All I have to do is call some friends in Florida at about any part of it. Even got a friend who beach hunts with a Deus. I'm sticking to Minelabs until Whites pulls through one of these days. Nobody in Florida finds enough inland to worry about many finds. You got it easy where you live. Our 76 copper pennies start at a foot deep in parks. I've hammered our parks with Fishers, Garretts, Whites, Bounty hunters, etc. If you don't have something that hits a foot deep you stay home or door knock. And I don't door knock. Be nice if you ever posted finds. You can find some of mine posted. I don't post them all since people try to figure out where I'm hunting because it sux to detect here most days. Good luck with your choices. I'm more than happy with mine. It's why I own several Minelabs. If yo beach hunt here you'll see a Minelab party on any beach I ever been to. Nobody is downgrading to something they already upgraded from:lol:

Well I have posted finds here. You just don't bother to look around.
Here is a link where even another gent posted some of my finds.

There are other post too with finds-- just look

I don't post all,, for the same reasons as you,,and sometimes I feel,, depending the finds and detecting scenario-- not very earth shattering.
Remember I have only been here for a little over a year,,there are some finds posted on forums, I belonged to before this one. You see you like to run your mouth,,but you keep sticking your foot in it.

Little Minelab eye candy. Only bad thing is I'm not hunting for silver usually. The war nickels look like asphalt by the ocean. This goes to ARA for gas money.

You are basing your entire concepts off of hear-say and rumor. Or do you have access to Minelab's internal reporting and know exactly what percentage of detector have experienced the need for warranty repair?

Just because you see some people have problems with one of the most popular detectors on the market, you think the entire line is faulty? Thats pure garbage. Just because you aren't reading "I have zero problems" from thousands of people who never had an issue you think those people don't exist. Here's a little bit of fact for you. Only a few percent of the metal detector users EVER log in to a detecting forum. All you see here, is a tiny percentage of problems from a tiny percentage of people who use them.

I am basing it on points raised by CTX owners & how Minelab has addressed the issues and how Nokta/Makro compares when it comes to fixing their issues -

You guys have already stated that no detectors are issue free from their inception, so its an important part of choosing a detector to find out how well the company actually operates regarding the fixing of expected issues -

Or do you prefer to ignore advice from those that use the gear and share their findings before blindly purchasing a new detector? I myself prefer due diligence -

I am with you on this... Blind loyalty will sometimes bite one's self in the arse.

the CF77 stole the design of the Minelab GPX 5000. I don't have the clams to buy the two to see how many flaws the CF77 has compared to the GPX. .

So you haven't owned or used a Makro CF77 yet are more than happy to state that its a copy of a Minelab GPX - WoW

Can you link me to any information that would back up your bold statement?

If you actually know a lot of detecting people you'll also know that there are a lot of people who own them and don't mention it. Especially the beach section. Some own two CTX's or two Excaliburs for example in case one goes down. Doubt you'll see many buy two racers in case one needs to go in for repair.

:laughing::lol::laughing:

I don't get free detectors like Tn does. If someone from Makro sends me a free one i'll put it up against the 10 grand in detectors I had to buy out of my own pocket:D Look at a Makro. Its a fisher, Minelab, bounty hunter, etc. designed exterior

It's not that simple guys.

I'm not about to run out and by a Volkswagen just because the service is great or the owners rant & rave about how good they are.

If a person will look at cf77,, rod don't look like my GPX.

I guess I could say,,my Honda CRV was copied from a Ford model T,, since it does have 4 wheels and tires like the model T does.

Pure HS here is what this is.

eScan is new and doesn't know TN got a free mystery detector from makro with no return address. Been preaching Makro ever since. I could care less what anyone uses. You aren't hunting where I am.

That's great to know & I am sure TNSS will be stoked, however I have simply asked you for proof of the CF77 being a copy of a GPX - Can you please provide a link or more information to back up your claim as its a serious accusation implying a company is stealing another companies designs - Have you taken this up with Makro directly?

Nobody said it was the rod. Look to the rear.

Don't need to. Have Makro pm me:yes:

Ever seen a Mazda that looks like a Ford Ranger? What is this model?

The last time I checked,,,don't most speedometers in cars look more or less the same.

What about tires,,don't they look the same??

Having a little rectangular box hanging off the back of a detector,,and anothe company makes--- this is copying ???

Well,,I guess the detector manufacturers might as well fold up shop,,,cause there is a lot of copying going on.

Coils,, they do look similar or the same a lot of times don't they.

What about Vdi displayed ??? I guess the first detector ever built in the world that did such,,,,and all the ones since--- all copies,, so we shouldn't purchase.

You know,, I don't know what drives your thinking,,, But I would hope you would spend your time thinking about/ of more productive things than you do.
