Registration plate

This an original license plate. Before they a metal plate attached to the bumper. These were attached some where on the dash. Only 33,000 were made in 1911 in Missouri. This one was found in a funeral home yard in Kansas.

I built a frame for this plate I found in an oil field. I did repaint it, but it's still a neat wall hanger relic.

Auto insurance plate from a long ago defunked company.
5" long, not a licence plate topper, mounted to a car, truck or farm vehicle
on a bumper, radiator or some other place.

These are now considered a form of automobile art.
The only other exact emblem like this I have been able to find on the net was this one that is perfect and complete and sold to a collector for $225.

Okay, that reminds me

I haven't cleaned this one up yet beyond a quick rinse for this thread. Lots of more modern things sit around until I get at them. Lots of packed soil still in the folded crevices.

Found this Iowa chauffeur license a few weeks ago, from 19" " something ,issue numbers... something, something 569

I'm late to the party on this... the California AAA porcelain was an eyeball find in a circa 1950 farm dump. It was a long way from home. The Kansas one my brother came up with somewhere...

Found this one about 5 inches down at a property that dates to 1756. Love these things.
