I am at the Chisholm Trail Hunt in Caldwell Ks.
I was not prepared for the realities of farm field hunting in 103 temps.
So far some neat finds have been made but not by me :(
I have two days left to represent.

I wanted to make it to the hunt this year, but my employer had other plans for me. Good Luck out there and drink plenty of fluids!

I would add some lemon to that water it makes the water absorb in to the body better. You will find something Im sure.

I was there last year and the ground was hard as a rock. I told you to take your hatchet. Get me a winning raffle ticket. Your steel cent is still safe, but they cleaned out everything else for now. I think you get to hunt a plowed field tomorrow.

Since you probably are sweating like crazy, take a small thermos of ice water and a rag. Wet the rag and wrap around the back of your neck or over your head. Do this every 15 minutes or so and you will be comfortable as can be. Just a little wet.

Thanks for all the good advice and encouragement. It was funny to see all the noobs sweating and suffering and all the old-timers just hunting away properly prepared.

Now I know.
