Kenders outdoors!

Yep, I love to hunt them, eat as well. Season before last was a banner year here in middle TN. Last season was good. With all this cold weather and ice and snow, I'm thinking this may be a good year.
Cheers
BTW here in TN we called them dry land fish...

OH YEAH! hunt em eat them sell em,
around mothers day is the prime time of the season here in North Iowa.
The last few years it's been pretty good, the grey morels come first, followed by the yellows, then as the season gets a little longer come the jumbos Big yellows, some times as big as a pringles can!
they sell between 30- 40 dollars/ lb fresh wet weight.
I didn't find a lot with work keeping me from getting out as much as I would have liked too, but friends I know found Morels,
certain days they'd find 10 pounds plus, filling garbage bags!
The best way I like to eat them is:
wash in salt water,slice in half or quarters, pat dry on a paper towel.
Dip the in beaten egg,
then roll them in crushed saltine cracker crumbs + add cavenders greek seasoning
(crushed very fine)
fry in a pan of butter till golden brown or a fry daddy cooker works well too.
:p:wow::shock::D
