Howdy all. Got out for a bit during low tide on Tuesday afternoon and found an area of new sand movement with many heavy targets. I don't believe it was erosion, as shells were not visible in any scoop fulls. Honestly, for a brief period I contemplated the idea someone had intentionally thrown a container of fishing weights into the surf. Those are just silly thoughts, though.

It's not much, but it's GOLD. White & yellow gold earring stamped and tested 14k @ 2.13g. Got my work cut out for me if I'm going to catch up with my local detecting buddy who has four gold already this year. Happy hunting all.

Nice job on the earring and wOw that's a lot of lead. Right spot for sure just need more of the shiny deposits. Looks like you cleaned it up pretty good, but if it was me I know there would still be the temptation to back to the same spot.:D
