KT got a new toy!

A couple years ago my mom bought me this for my birthday!
super simple and takes the greatest pictures

I recently changed computers and it wouldn't work with the new one. I had a hard time finding the software for it but I finally did.

Silversmith....KT had the identical one in your pic and when KT's laptop died and Prince John installed Window 7 on it, We had lost the software package that came with it, so KT salvaged the base and tossed that scope and purchased this new one. The only real difference between the two that KT can tell from the images taken is that yours is a bit more fiddly to get the object of interest into focus. Optically they are very similar, even to the lighting, although on this new unit, the lighting is adjustable, whereas on the old one it was either off or on. Software included in Windows 7 is different than that of Vista, but KT has figured out how to use it so He can crop and adjust images...even sharpen the focus a bit!

The base of the old one now holds a blue light laser for observing fluorescence of tiny minerals! It all worked out! HA HA

That was a great gift and one you can use! Did you make or use some type of base or is it handheld??
