Default Odd markings on bottle

Default Think I got it

Found reference circa 1863. Indicates concentration..in referenced text permagnate of potash..used as disinfectant

"3viii" means bottle holds 8 oz. (or 48 teaspoonfuls). Info:

I still had to look it up to be sure but I've seen these markings on druggist bottles all the years I've been digging and hunting them. Hundreds of them through the years.
