They just had a segment on GMA were a skier or snowboarder had lost his i-phone. He took a metal detector back to the slopes and found it, put it in rice and it still worked after it dried out.

A lost i-phone anymore is like loosing a computer. Lots of stuff on them phones that can be financially devastating and fodder for embarrassment!!!

Not as many as will be buying because of the gold coin stash found in California. Good luck getting permission to hunt private land out there now also.

I actually found an iPod touch last year when I first started detecting. It was in a tot lot buried in the sand between 2 swings. the sand scratched the heck out of the screen but I got a new one one Ebay for $17 and it was like new again.
