I had told my hunting buddy USMCDETECTOR
at the end of the day, yesterday,
How I hope to sometime complete my chain of silver half dollars.
(Having found a seated, a walker, and Kennedy silver)
We went out today hunting curb strips again, finding clad, and 18wheats, he found 4 Indians, again today, along with 2 mercs and a roosie.
One hole I dug gave up 14 clad dimes,
(Did a lemonade stand get knocked off?)

At the second stop today I found a nice 45 GW !
But the best came at the last curb strip
, I dug an 04 Barber half, my first barber of the year!
So two good silver saves on my part today, and the weather was perfect.

Nice

Way to go finding that 1904 Half. I've found Barbers, Walking Liberty, and Ben Franklin Half's, but never a 1964 Kennedy. I've even dug three Silver Dollars, but no Kennedy. I love Curb Strips and do them almost exclusive.
Gongrates!!
HH everyone

That half is just awesome! I have started dabbling with curb strips. Have any pointers for us curb strip newbs? Are there particular areas of a "rectangle" that tend to produce better than others or, like a field, is it pretty random?

Maybe, the houses themselves...older neighborhoods.....?
Houses on the corners of the block,
detect close to the side walk, or the street curb.
older looking concrete side walks, even where it has been replaced.
Often times the construction crews that replace them,
move dirt when making forums for the new sidewalk.

There are treasures in places that others have walked right past for decades.
