I was killing time in my front yard and hit this standing Liberty quarter at about 3". There is no way that I hadn't swung my DeLeon over this coin multiple times! I'm loving the AT Pro.

I was just about to point this out. If that can be proved to be a 1916 it's worth a lot.

I was thinking the same thing looking at it. Looks like a 1917 Type 1.

Probably about 10". I have a lot of crappy bent grass in my yard and it doesn't make it easy to make nice plugs, but it's mine so I don't worry too much about it. Lol

OK, coin guys here are the key identifiers areas I was able to find via Google on the difference between a 1916 and 1917 SLQ. Let me know what you think, especially what you see in the circle.

I'm not saying that the depth had anything to do with it. I've had some great finds with my DeLeon. Mostly I was surprised to find these coins at ALL, since I know I've covered the ground with the DeLeon and not sure how I could have missed a silver that and a nickel like that. I was pretty shocked to dig them up.
