SS Central America Gold

Not sure if anyone has read the article regarding the new round of SS Central America gold that is on display in California. I was fortunate enough to photograph all of the bars from the original find in the 80's for the book "A California Gold Rush History". That was a fun trip. Here's a candid from the 90's as this is when the book was written. I think I caught the treasure hunting bug then. To be young again.

I read the book over and over. Too bad the original hunter turned into a stinking greedy crook. Tommy Thompson is exactly where he should be. (In jail)
