HELP! I have been practicing in the backyard to help me understand my detector. I seem to find all the cans that are like 6+ inches down, but nothing else. I get foil and trash, but seem to be a pro at soda/beer cans. I went to a church site today and guess what? Yes an Orange Crush can about 8 inches down!! Am I lucky or what?

I just had the same question not too long ago. while using my ACE250 it pings high and hit's on the 10 cents icon...6" down and it's acan! the answer was to lift the MD while pinpointing the small coin signal goes away quickly the can ligers for a few inches higher. also side to side a coin signal while pinpointing will fade quickly moving left or right while a can gives you the impression that the object is over a foot in each direction.
I have had great success since using this method...but still dig small pieces of aluminum that read between 1 cent and 10 cents. hope this helps.
