I finally found my white whale (SLQ). I've never found one these babies in the 10+ years I've been detecting. Not that I'm complaining but I've found a KG1, KG2s, and KG3s plenty of thimes yet this coin eluded me. Today on a 1852 permission I got a solid 87 at 6 inches. I figured it would be a washington or clad, since owner said it had been hunted before a bunch of times. Then Tah-Dah. scaned the hole again and another solid 87. Turned out to be a barber. A silver spill Woot Woot !! Keep on swinging . sorry for delay had trouble uploading and work to over. Thanks everybody

Congratulations. I am still looking for that first SLQ. Found a barber shortly after I started detecting

Congrats, a standing liberty is also my white wale.... found all sorts of silver including seated quarters and halfs, several barber quarters, a plethora of seated and barber dimes, half dimes, fish scales, trimes, washingtons, rosies, and so on. BUT a SLQ seems to avoid me like the plague.

My white whale and recheck your hole.

You are very correct in that phrase. I re checked my hole and there was still something there but a little more paper took care of that situation :)

Really super recovery! So nice when it all comes together and you are standing over top of that special target. I don't know how to post pics and someday the gonna say it's not real, but I am waiting for my 1936 Canadian 3 dot penny. I won't need to post it...newspapers will do it for me....243K for one penny. Again, excellent job!

That's a super pair ! Congratulations on harpooning your white whale ! and it's got detail and a date ! Luv it !
