Sony bringing back the PlayStation

Just like every other emulation machine released recently it's a cash grab on the popularity of the retro market. Only 3 games have been announced and it has no analog support, means no games like metal gear solid.

I am selling my brand new in box SNES classic. Rather have a garrett carrot then a system that I can emulate all the games for free.

True story about a PlayStation game. In the late 90s, I was playing Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit. Keep in mind this is an auto racing game rated for children. I was racing my car through the desert when I lost control and it's slammed into the side of a cliff. The game froze. My car was stuck in a spasm, violently vibrating back and forth. All of a sudden this face about 2 in tall starts moving across the screen from left to right. It was abstract, but it had a demonic look to it. My friend and I were looking at each other in disbelief. I think we both said at the same time, ' you see that, right'? The image continued until it was off the screen. We didn't want to reboot the game because we wanted to see if anything else was going to appear. So I'm sitting there looking at the cliff that my car had slammed into and I can see the image of a naked woman, standing up with her legs spread. There was another image of a man on his knees right in front of the woman. You could also see other naked images on the side of the cliff. The images were mosaic looking and pixelated. After we rebooted the game, we could always come back to that spot and see the naked images. But as soon as you backed the car away from the cliff even just a little bit, the images looked like nothing but rock. We were dumbfounded and we could not believe what we were seeing. What else were they putting in these games? Was this a one-off from a rogue employee, or were they doing this across the board? I thought it was a huge story and I wanted to bring it to an investigative reporter or maybe the National Enquirer, but I was about to embark on a cross-country bicycle trip, and when I got back 3 months later, I had lost contact with the guy who owned the video game. It has haunted me all of these years. I recently picked up a Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit at a garage sale and when I come across a PlayStation 1, I'm going to see if this game has that pornography in it also.

Scoundrel, that's hilarious! I had a friend who made websites in the early days of the internet and they hid TONS of stuff on the sites. You would have to click on on little pixel that was the same color as the screen on the bottom of one page that was a link that took you to what appeared to be an error page but there was another one pixel link hidden there as well which took you to a page with some other images that would not have thrilled the client...

Many years ago I had an Intellivision with a voice module. I never was any good at games and was playing a WWII gane where I was flying a B-17. I was watching the fuel supply and accidentally hit a button that dropped the bomb load into the sea. To this day I swear it said "There's nothing there stupid!"

Never played a PlayStation, but I had lots of fun with the old Atari 2600

We still have the original Nintendo game system though it's been quite a while since we used it.

Way back when they were phasing out making any new Atari 2600 games you could get a lot of the games on closeout sales for as low as a dollar each ! I grabbed up a bunch, then years later sold some that were semi-rare enough to get a pretty good price for them, then later sold the rest of them with the console, so overall I likely got back more than what I paid for it all, so it was like free fun when I had it
