I bed Mud read the title and had sick thoughts lol

I got out for what was supposed to be a blowout tide tonight. A stiff inshore wind had other ideas. Found Gold #2 for the year hiding in the rocks amongst the lead. Fake stones again! (3 in a row for me)

I suspect it's not "fake," as much as it is just "not a diamond." Looks like Topaz.

You know, i looked at it under a loupe and couldn't find any imperfections that you'd typically see on a CZ and it had me stumped. I'll have to look into Topaz.

Stones as others said likely not junk. Just not a diamond. You find out its not a real valuable stone you may see what it takes to change its color? Or put a color stone in it yourself.
