"The Rebel" posted a "Child's Food Pusher" in Coinshooters and Relic Hunters. As with any find I see posted that I know nothing about I like to start looking for the history of it and find information on its origin, use, etc.. But when I read what was written about his find I was really impressed with it. Here is the 4 piece set it probably came from, but what was said about the patern was just amazing to me!

Repousse (Sterling, 1828)
by Kirk Stieff
Item#: 47805 Pattern Code: KISREP
Description: Sterling, 1828, No Monograms, S.Kirk & Son
Pattern Number: 1828, G1010
Pattern: Repousse (Sterling, 1828) by Kirk Stieff
Status: Active. Actual: 1828 -
The iconic Repousse silverware pattern by Kirk Stieff made its debut in 1828, making it the oldest sterling silver pattern produced in the United States. To create this pattern, Samuel Kirk, a Philadelphia-trained silversmith, revived an ancient technique known as "repousse" to create an embossed design that's as versatile as it is unforgettable!

To dig up a piece of silverware that is described as the "oldest US patern" to me is awsome. If you think its as good as I do you ought to let him know in his post. Congratulations TR for your find, it impressed me a lot!
