Has anyone seen this type of Catholic coin before ?

Has anyone seen this coin before ? Dug this up in my front yard at 5:00 am right after work.. with my newly purchased Ace 250. Looks like bronze with silver plating or something. I'm not Catholic so I have no idea on these coins.. any info on them would be appreciated !

There seems to be lots of different first communion tokens, rosaries and whatnot available. It is possible that this one was issued by some local church.

Some churches give people a token like this one after being saved, they usually have a date on them

Thanks for all the good info guys.

Although this one doesn't have a date on it I think it was given out in the late 50's.
The previous home owner had grandkids who were issued these coins by their local church. They are now grown with grandkids of their own...

Supposidly this one was lost not long after it was given to one of the children...
