Wildlife State Hunting area

I have a state game or Hunting area that backs up to my property. I am new to MDing and I was wondering if anyone new if I was allowed to MD on this property. I don't know all the details but I believe technically the property is State Land, Federal Wet Lands and City property. People are allowed to deer hunt and small game hunt back their along with most other types of Hunting. There are cross county ski trails and walking trails also. The only restrictions that I know of are that you are not allowed to take any kind of motor vehicle on the property. I think if I did MD back their no one would care or say anything but I would feel better if I new the laws or had permission from the proper authority's. Would the City Hall be able to answer this question?
