My detecting buddy KSCHEMIST uses one with a 10" coil and the things a beast. Does yours have a depth blanker on it? Cancels out targets in the 2 or 4 inch range if looking for deep signals. Made in the late 80's.

I have one that I bought from a friend in the 80's. We went to a local park to try it out and the first thing that I found was an Indian head Cent. The last time I used it (early spring) I found some change, including two wheat cents. It was probably one of the first detectors to use a plastic case instead of the old heavy metal cases.
