Haven't been to this beach before, but it sure looked like sand was being pulled from the top. Waves were rough from offshore storms, about 3-4ft swells. I stayed between the high and low tide area.
Targets were few and far between. Only thing good was the junk to keeper ratio was really good. However keepers were all clad. Most items were at 8 inches deep.

I'd like to think if something nice was there, I would have found it.

You cleaned house with all those quarters and nickels. If there was gold at less than 8", you probably would have found it.

That is definitely a nice trash-to-keeper ratio! I've found a few beaches like that over here. Don't know where all the trash goes (there aren't many detectorists around) but each beep has a pretty high chance of being at least clad or something interesting.

I do like those beaches, but the long stretches between targets always make me question whether my machine is still working.
