I had read about them, but not much for that sort of thing, would rather just go out and wave the coil around. Time attending a meeting would be better spent just detecting. If you really want to learn tip, tricks and different places it might be good to do. I have parks in town, parks in another town, lots of towns where they don't care if you detect, and now county parks, so i have lots of ideas on where to go, just need to go and do it.
I'm going to start bringing my detector with me to work once a week or so so i can go right after work to try new places.
