Today is National Prime Rib Day

I know I will be in the minority here but not my favorite cut; rather have a ribeye medium well!

Prime rib

Steak night on the Crow Peak wildfire in South Dakota. The caterer cooked the best prime rib I’ve ever had!

Prime rib and ribeye are the same cut only cooked different. Both great and the more marbling (fat) the better!

I always order the ribeye, and I tell the waitress I want it rare. So rare a good vet would be able to put it back if he had to. :)

I like a good steak, but my recent checkup my LDL cholesterol was the only thing off, it was slightly elevated, so to get it back within normal range I need to keep red meat as a very very occasional small portion treat, as well as other certain foods.

I really like skinless grilled chicken though, especially in a salad, so I'll celebrate national grilled skinless chicken day if they officially recognize it or not

Best "chain" steak place around here is Texas Roadhouse in my opinion. They serve up a good chunk of cow.
