I was aquainted with a guy through the Roma Club in Burlington, and he
worked on heaters. He got a call to fix a heater where this old Italian fella
lived with his son, and after he got it running, the old gentleman told his son where to get the money to pay him... Turns out he had gold coins hidden all
over the house 'cause he didn't trust banks since the Great Depression...
The heater guy took one to cover his service, and told the son to get those
coins appraised and cash out on them as he needed to... This was several years ago, and I still think about it...
