With it being 50 degrees on a December 20, I just had to get out dump-spotting. Found a shallow surface dump, so with only my walking probe with me, I popped a few NW Indiana milks out. Two Quarts - United Milk Co. Indiana Harbor, Ind. (no date) and Cloverleaf Dairy, Gary Ind. (1948). Also a half-pint Dixie Dairy, Gary, Ind. (1952). There are more bottles still buried there and I will dig those later when I have a shovel with me. One is a green pyroglaze Cloverleaf Qt. There were a few slick milks which I will re-bury later.
Here are some in-situ shots:

Great way to take advantage of the nice weather. That clover leaf bottle is great. I’m surprised they didn’t use a 4 leaf clover for good luck.

So I’m curious. Why do you rebury the bottles you don’t want? Are you doing that just for aesthetics and not having bottles all over in the woods?

If they are already out just scattered all over I usually leave 'em (and just refill any holes I make), but if I dig 'em out, I try to leave the place looking as good or better than I found it. Which is what I'll do here when I'm finished. Maybe someday another bottle hunter will rediscover the same dump and find something he wants.
