In the 14 years so far detecting I've dug 6 X 1916, and the one that got me going was the one I looked at and saw a mint mark from a distance, turned out to be an S mint...LOL. Nice find however...

Did another door knock after work. Scored some wheats a kids police badge and three silver dimes. One gave me a lil heart thumping when I saw the 1916 date but NO D lol. That's my second 1916 plain this summer.

in 2011 the year I dug my 16D, I dug 4 1916 merc dimes in a 2 week period,2 were 1916-S, one 1916P and of course the other one was my 1916D, I think I have dug around a dozen 1916 merc dimes now
