Default Garrett Pro Pointer and Gold Flakes??

1) Will a Garrett pro pointer pick up on a gold flake?

Also

2) Will an X-1 sunray probe work on a gold detector? If so which brand(s)?

I've been thinking about buying a Gold metal detector. If I pop a plug after detecting gold will a probe be able to find it? Will I need some kind of speical probe?

My PP picks up on matchhead size flakes sometimes.......and then only if you actually touch the flake/nugget with the pointer.....maybe bigger is better in this case.
