Default My First Gold

Went out field hunting looking for old coins and relics, and I ended up popping this beauty out in the woods next to a horse riding path.....my first gold ever, and only have had the DFX for a little over 1 week now....14k....my hunting buddy found a MINT condition 1739 King George II halfpence.....the coin was perfectly clear...amazing find.....

Nice Find. They say the learning curve is steep with the DFX, you seem to be doing pretty well so far, How is the learning curve???

I do not think the learning curve is too bad...granted, I am just starting to venture outside the factory pre-set programs, but they are good enough to get anyone started....a little tweaking here or there, and I have taken it upon my myself to reach out to other DFX owners to ask for guidance. That has heplped a lot, IMO.

That is gorgeous! and looks old too. I think they use to stamp it like that years ago. Next to a horse riding path huh? Wow, people lose stuff everywhere.

Beautiful ring! I believe Carol is correct, older rings tend to have the deeper markings. Others might know more about that though. Very nice find.
