Default Please answer a question for me if possible.

I have a coin on my wish list. Its a large cent . Now...here in southwest louisiana, i wonder what my chances are of finding one? Most LC's are found up north. I have yet to see any found way down south here.
So....anyone care to venture a guess as to whether i have a shot at one or not?
HH all!!

You have a chance.

I'm in San Diego and what do I find in a tot lot? 1883 British 3-pence and a 1943 Nazi coin.

If I can find a 1700's Spanish Reale in Missouri you can find a Large Cent in Louisiana, I've aways been told most coins where in circulation for about 30+ years after they where minted.. The last minted US large cent was 1857, so you have a very good shot at landing one..

I made a list of all coins that were minted within 25 years of the founding of the county where I live.

I figure there is some probability of finding a late date large cent around here.

Other than that, I can always drive up to Kansas city for a weekend and try there

thanks for all the replies you all. All of us cajuns down here have a reputation of being a little backards and 'slow" ..and maybe this old cajun is
Its just that all the LC's i have seen posted came from up north...but coins in circulation means nationwide...not just up north. So i guess i just answered my own question lol.
Thanks for taking the time to answer a question i probably shouldnt have asked

Its not a bad question! The only bad question is 1 that isnt asked. The thing is where to look. I can help you if you tell me what county you are in

I found a Panamanian quarter in a toy
lot in the South suburbs of Chicago.

You never know.
