Default Bounter Hunter/Fisher pinpointer are Same

Hello there my friends, just wanted to let you all know if you already didnt, that the Bounty Hunter Pinpointer and Fisher Pinpointer are the same. I had Ordered one on ebay, and thought I had purchased the Bounty hunter PPer, well I got it yesterday, and it was a Fisher FPoint pinpointer. Well I looked it up online and found that Bounty Hunter PP and Fisher fpoint pp are the same. what the heck.

well I'm happy as long as it works. tried it out last nite at a school and tot lot. and found a few pull tabs, and one Nick, and Dime, and about 5 pennys. It wasn't much, but I love the pinpointer because it was so fast finding them not having to take out handfulls of dirt and wave over the coil. Only took me about an hour. and thats not counting the drive there and back which took about 15mins

I think this may have been mentioned awhile ago, but if not... you're right, they sure look pretty much like the same thing, sans color. And yet, one is $10 cheaper than the other, haha

RH I believe First Texas bought Fisher and already have BH. They've been phaseing out some of the Fisher models while introducing new lines.

Glad to see you happy with yours.
Not the case with mine.
It has to be within 1/2" to work.
As for me, it is not worth the price of the 9V battery to use it.

My Fisher pinpointer was the same, had to almost touch the tip of the pinpointer on the coin to get it to respond. BTW I believe that the Teknetics pinpointer is the same as the Bounty Hunter & the Fisher pinpointer. Steve.

Far as I know. FIsher, Bonty Hunter, and Teknetics are all First Texas now.

Just got the Fisher Fpoint pinpointer. Haven't used it or any other model. Does need to be about 3/4" - 1/2" from object. Should speed up retrievals in some cases. Doesn't look like it's very sturdy but got it for $30.

As long as I can pinpoint with my detector half decently I can't really justify spending over $100 for a Pro. Probably great for competition coin hunters.

Just my take...probably run out and get a Garrett first time I use one though! lol

It took me 7-8 hunts to wear the tip off of my F point ,I would suggest a thin layer of epoxy over the last inch of this pointer before you use it.

It was better than no pin pointer though.

I'm about to order the F2, 2-coil package from Kellyco. I'd rather have a coil cover for the 8" coil than the pinpointer!

Lots of people have posted they used to think the same way about the Propointer...till they tried one.
Now they all own one.
I own 2...just in case one breaks.

The BH and the Fisher units are the same and they both work about as well as the Harbor freight unit.

You have to replace the switch in the HF unit, (which is easy), but the other 2 probably not.

I have read that some people have trouble with depth on all 3 of these.
They should all go at least 1-2 inches, some do not.
On the Hf unit it is pretty easy to get inside and adjust it if it does not go that far, it is not easy to get inside the other 2 to check if there is an adjustment for those... I bet there is if someone figures out how to get into one of these to see.

Even a cheaper pinpointer is way better than nothing, and this one should work for you pretty well.

Save up for a Propointer because if you ever try one you will see that is a whole new ballgame.
