Default Found two rings...one a beaut!!

I took a trip to a local beach after I dropped off the kids at school. Glad I did!

I wasn't having much luck finding good targets hunting the wet sand to about ankle deep water, mostly just canslaw pulltabs and bottle caps. Towards the end of my hunt I pulled the silver plated peace ring. Feeling good that at least I pulled a ring so I kept going. About 15 minutes later I dug a signal near where the wet sand ends, kicked the big sand clot and saw the beautiful sight of gold and what appears to be a big diamond.
The stone on 14k gold is about a 3/4 karat, but I'm pretty sure it's not real. Had a buddy test it and it came back no good, showed it to a jeweler and he said he couldn't tell for sure, so I'm still hoping it may still be a diamond.

Very nice find,if you want to know (diamonds are the hardest thing around) take it out and try to crush it with a shovel thats what I did today to some cheap earring that had a glass diamond. It shattered. Real diamonds will damage the metal you test them with.

Wow, I'm sure that was a heart stopper when you pulled that one out!

Let's hope it's all real. Still a cool find!

Beautiful looking ring, hope the diamond turns out to be real, if not you still got gold and a nice piece of jewelry! Nice job!

Yeah, I'm also hoping it's real, but I will agree it is a nice ring either way. Buddy of mine bet be a beer it is a "fugazi" like Donnie Brasco says. We're both hoping he'll be paying for that beer.

With that many prongs holding the stone and the other chips deep set in, there is a good chance that it is a diamond..........but unless it is 1carat or more, it isn't worth that much because there is a huge mark-up and no jeweler will give you what it is worth.

It does look like a fugazi. However, being that the band is real gold, it might not be a diamond. It very well could be a clear sapphire. I just don't see the fire or sparkle in it to be a diamond or even a CZ. Very well might be an ASHA diamond or a Moissanite ring, but even those are very much identical to a diamond.
