Safari???

I have 2 questions.

1. Will using the pinpoint mode on the Safari use the batteries up faster?

2. Can I use my Killer Bee headphones on the Safari with no damage to the detector?

Thank you for you time and help on this got the Safari in on 3/29/11 just had time to run it for about 10 mins thats all everything still new at this point.
