Default Your choice

Ok, heres a question for all who hunt the beaches. What is your choice for beach detectors. A unit that will perform good in both wet or dry sand with little to no falseing.

I have used the whites idx, and recently purchased a HeadHunterpIRATE but havent tried it yet.

Of the detectors I have owned I'd say that the Excal II would be my choice. If I stayed out of the water I would be looking into getting a Minelab Sovereign GT. Someday I probably will anyway. HH!

Best detector in the water is a pulse machine.. less trash and will find the deepest gold a VLF won't... in the wet sand or dry a detector like the Sovereign GT...

I say get a water machine and a dry machine. Of course for the water the Dual Field...for dry sand well there is an assortment of choices. I'm going with a Beach hunter ID 300 myself which is wet or dry but not pulse. However I have not received it yet so I cannot speculate on it. Maybe someone else can.

Default Excal

I am up to my 85th. ring of which the Excalibur found probably 60 of them. I would suggest the Excalibur knowing full well that Whites makes an awesome machine as well.
