MD'ing in New Orleans area
Didn't know what forum to put this in so...
We are in the New Orleans area for a bit over a week. Brought my MD this trip and figured I might try out a few parks/lots. I suspect there might have been a lot of jewelry/coin collections scattered by the hurricanes over the decades that is yet to be discovered. Is there anyone who has found this to be true? Is there a way to investigate the "debris field" patterns much like in shipwrecks for likely hunting spots? And how about the "trash effect", is it pretty bad here? My bro-in-law lives here and lost everything in Katrina, he said he found some of his things 2 blocks away (his neighborhood was under 9 feet of Lake Pontchartrain water at the height of Katrina) and stuff from neighbors in his yard. We will start with his new yard and go from there...
Thanks
Mike
