I had to deal with that yesterday. I was trudging through snow with the MXT and the coil got so heavy. I hunted for maybe 1.5 hours before I got sick of it. I lost about 5 inches of depth but still managed to squeeze in $2 in clad or so. Set your detector to max sens. and go at it. You won't find any deep goodies though unless you have a giant 15" coil or something. Also you get wet and it just sucks.
