Default Help!!! Old British Navy Button?

Hey Folks, I'm exhausted looking for this button? the closest I've come is some sort of British Royal Navy? could anyone confirm this for me or lead me in the right direction. It's quite old.

I checked my sources. No luck. Sorry. I'm guessing late 1800's for age, maybe older.

Start looking at Coast Guard Uniforms online. I would guess US Coast Guard before Navy, especially if the button was lost in Ohio.

The US Coast Guard is charged with maintaining navigation buoys & lighthouses, not only on the Great Lakes, but also on the Mississippi & Ohio Rivers. They used several different button designs over the years.
