garrett 250 or Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II

I am new to detectors and am considering purchasing a Detector for Coins, relects, jewelry and possible for some prsopecting when I go out west. I'm Planning on spending up to $350 and am looking at these two Detectors. This will be my first detector. What are the pro's and con's of each. I will be doing most of hunting at the beach and in some rocky areas. Also the occasional trip into the woods. Any input would greatly be appreciated.
