Question Coin found in Ireland

Here's a coin i've no idea what it is, it's very small, about the same as a 1c piece in euro, I've found a few 1700 coins, hopefully this is older than 1700s, i need to break my record :buds:

Im thinking a trade token. Can you get it any cleaner ? If not dont destroy by scrubbing it.This is one i found last week and there is hundreds of differant sorts. What size is yours.Ok sorry, didnt read the whole post.If its the size you say it is i think it is a Half penny or penny token and would more than likely date back to the 1600,s.I could be completely wrong but thats my guess on it.

OK i found out it's a token

Quote:
Hi,

Your coin is a penny token from the mid 17th century, so not Roman.

It was made for James Lucaing ("IAMES LVCAING" as it appears on the token) with a stag galloping to the left at speed. The other side reads "OF RADROME".

A catalogue reference is Williamson (17th Century Tokens) Ireland 684.

Radrum is the old name for Rathdrum, located on Dundrum Bay in County Wicklow.

Regards,

mauseus
